Law and Order review

Finished Law and Order as part of clear the backlog challenge. I still have a few telltale games to play but so far this is my second favourite after Game of Thrones.

Like the show, the first part of the episode you start playing as one of the policemen or women from the show investigating a murder. Part of this is done through looking for evidence in hidden picture game style (I didn't enjoy that) and the rest is interviewing witnesses ad suspects and trying to catch them out in any lies and contradictions. You get a score based on how fast you found the evidence and how well you did the interviews.

In the second part you play as one or more of the lawyers, questioning and cross-examining people on the stand. This challenges your memory and logic as you must remember all the details from earlier as well as object for the correct reasons to sway the jurey. Towards the end of the trial you can offer a plea and see how that goes based on how the defense sees the trial going.

I enjoyed most of the cases as they all had a few twists and weren't cliched. I liked the cartoon-style graphics and the series regulars did a good job with the voice acting, although some of the other characters were not as good. I would recommend getting this game when on sale if you enjoy Telltale games stories and would like to try one without all the QTEs.
